# Lower Transaction Fees

Members of ECI pay a 5% transaction fee on every bet or buy and sell activity. ECI pools its members' 5% transaction fee, burns 1% of the $ECI tokens, and contributes the remaining 4% to community development, marketing, and the platform’s sustainability.
